The previous owner of this house had bookshelves that came to hip level, then mirrors to the ceiling on a whole wall. (She used the room as a guest room). I put four-foot bookshelves on top of the deep, built in shelves. The new shelves are white, without backs, so the mirrors show through. It's shiny.
